The third all-women event with Olympic
bronze medallist and Team O’Neill athlete Johanne Defay was a roaring success.
So much so that we added a second weekend (June 18–21, in addition to the
initial June 11–14 event). From the very get-go, the group clicked, laughing
together, sharing their stories and cheering each other on throughout the
weekend.
Held at Johanne’s surf retreat, Granja
Josi, in Seignosse, France, the event delivered plenty of guided time in the
water, progression work ashore led by Johanne and a professional coach, surf
video analysis, yoga sessions and delicious, chef-prepared meals. But most
importantly, it offered a chance to reconnect with the simple and meaningful
things in life-the ocean, yourself and a group of amazing people.
