COMMUNITY PROJECTS
SURFERS NOT STREET CHILDREN
O'Neill is a proud supporter of Surfers, Not Street Children, a non-profit organisation that helps vulnerable and impoverished children in Durban, South Africa and Tofo, Mozambique. The SNSC program fuses surfing, mentorship, and care to transform children's futures as they build a life of self-sustainability and independence.
ROOKIE RIPPERS
Our Youth Surf Academy, Rookie Rippers, gives young surfers a unique opportunity to be mentored by some of the best athletes in the world.
ENVIRONMENTAL PROJECTS
SAVE THE WAVES
We have partnered with the non-profit organisation Save The Waves Coalition to support their global efforts to preserve surf ecosystems. Both organisations share a joint mission focusing on protecting the oceans and the lasting legacy of surfing. O’Neill actively supports Saves The Waves Coalition’s goal to have 1000 surf ecosystems preserved by 2030 through various projects and activations as healthy surf ecosystems ensure livelihood of local communities.

At our headquarters in Warmond, the Netherlands, we prioritise a healthy work-life balance, encouraging an active lifestyle with weekly yoga and boot camp sessions. SAFE AND HEALTHY WORKING CONDITIONS
We are committed to ensuring the safety of workers in our supply chain. In 2013, O’Neill Europe signed the Bangladesh Accord, which has led to significant improvements in building safety and a fundamental change in mindset among factory owners and employer associations in Bangladesh. Currently, the agreement has a more international focus and is called the International Accord. (click here to the website of the accord)
In addition, we support the Multistakeholder Alliance for Decent Employment in Myanmar (‘MADE in Myanmar’), which is a four-year project, started at the end of 2022, which is primarily funded by the European Union and participating brands and retailers. Their objective is to strengthen responsible business practices in the textile, clothing, and footwear sector, achieving critical industry improvements and protecting the livelihoods of hundreds of thousands of families.
