O’Neill is proud to announce a new chapter in our decade long partnership with Africa’s transformative, community-based surf mentorship program, Surfers Not Street Children (SNSC). For more than 20 years, SNSC has helped street children in South Africa and Mozambique find safety and stability on land and pure joy in the water. O’Neill will be giving both an annual financial contribution, as well as a product donation to the organization.
The SNSC program fuses surfing and mentorship to transform children’s future and help them build a life of self-sustainability and independence.
Sitting in the top 10 of the World Surf League (WSL), Jordy continues to push the boundaries of the sport with his athletic approach to surfing. From creative aerials to slashing, powerful turns, Jordy remains one of the best competition and free surfers in the world.
O’Neill and Jordy join forces to bring attention to the Surfers Not Street Children organisation, where at-risk kids can find a healing space and safe place to play. We bring change through the power of surfing.
The HyperFreak is constructed with super light TechnoButter 3. The minimal seam design, lightweight, quality construction, and attention to detail make this another Jordy inspired favorite.
An O'Neill exclusive breakthrough in neoprene technology featuring ultimate insulation and premium stretch.
Leading through innovation. The ridges in the neoprene lead to the water being drawn down and out of the wetsuit. Being a chest zip construction you can be assured of maximum movement and the better you move the less tired you will become in the water.
With bands of bold colour, inspired by the SNSC Durban head quarters' door design, the Surfers Not Street Children Hyperfreak Hydro Comp Boardshorts give high end surf performance. The O'Neill no-tie-fly, no inseam to avoid rubbing, pro stretch and a welded pocket, these streamlined, light shorts offer no restrictions and are made with 55% REPREVE® recycled polyester.

Since its inception in Durban in 1998, SNSC has helped local community leaders get the resources they need to provide effective intervention and mentorship for street children — young kids living in extreme poverty and with little opportunity who are often exposed to violence and other types of trauma. By helping street children, or children at risk of getting swept up in street life, find stability on land and joy in the water, local mentors from SNSC have been able to transform countless lives.
We look forward to continued efforts to bring focus to this great cause, where kids can find a safe place to play, where developmental programs are on offer that engage children and youth through the power of surfing.
