The Quarteira-born surfer, Yolanda Hopkins Sequeira, started in the sport as a child. Marked by relentless drive, a fierce competitive spirit, and a self-described ‘ruthlessness in the water,’ Yolanda quickly rose through the ranks. Now a two-time European surfing champion and two-time Olympian (Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024), she has her sights firmly set on securing a spot on the WSL Championship Tour.

When not competing, the half-Welsh, half-Portuguese surfer loves getting barreled, training, and spending time with her friends. In 2025, Yolanda joined the O’Neill Rookie Rippers Surf Academy as a captain/coach.
